Through
the towering stone walls and iron bars of this 137 year old prison wonders
the restless souls and spirits whom in life were bound to the grounds
for their crimes. From their tragic stories here on earth to their untimely
deaths, Mansfield Reformatory is known as one of the most haunted Prisons
in the United States. As seen on Fox Family, Scariest Places on Earth,
The Travel Channel & ABC News, this 1834
Penitentiary is filled with eerie and unexplainable occurrences around
every corner!
Its 30 foot walls erected around the property reflect the boundaries
keeping the secrets of the men locked away forever. For many this would
become their permanent home only to die there never reaching society
again.
The haunted activity seems to not only be contained with the walls of
the prison, but filter out into the courtyard where 215 unclaimed graves
lay, awaiting reconition from those who will listen.
This penitentiary is no stranger to death, for the reaper has knocked
many times as it made its rounds as through the dark stone corridors,
taking the lives not only of inmates, but the Warden himself and his
wife.
